A.I. will take over and make us their pets

“There will be a day when A.I. takes over and it’ll make us their pets.

“And the day AI takes over, they’re gonna pass judgment on whether humans should continue or not in this world.

“So… yeah, they’ll just exterminate us all.

Have a nice day!”

That’s a quote from a Neil deGrasse Tyson youtube video I watched recently (link below).

He mentioned science fiction author Ray Bradbury’s take on his books.

Someone asked Ray, “why do you have all these apocalyptic, futuristic stories? Is this what you think we have in store for ourselves?”

Ray: “I don’t write these because I think that’s what our future will be. I write these stories so that you know what future to avoid.”

I thought this was a pretty interesting take on things. But why am I sharing this?

Well, this relates to your business too (and everyday life for that matter).

Take the news for example.

Don’t believe that what you see on the news is what we have in store for ourselves.

Don’t watch the news with the thought of “oh no, these are hard times ahead. I might as well just give up now. The world is ending. The biggest recession ever is coming. There’s no point in trying anymore.”

No, watch the news to know what future to avoid.

When you actively try to avoid the “inevitable bad times” ahead, you are much more likely to push through. And possibly grow yourself and your business better than ever. (By having a great email strategy for example 😜)

Improvise, adapt, overcome.

Hopefully this gives you a new take on things if you haven’t come to this realization yet.

Have a nice day,

P.S. Here’s that video if you want to check it out. He touches on a couple other topics too. It’s pretty interesting.
